CATECHETICAL PROGRAMME
This programme is headed by Rev. Fr. Francis Mureiithi.. It is one of the various sections in the Pastoral Department that have come up with a common vision based on the Diocesan Vision. This is meant to enable them to have a common ground of approach in tackling pastoral issues.
Programme Vision “To create the environment of Good News by empowering agents of Evangelization and the Christian Communities to live a more mature faith in witness of Christ, at the same time recognizing and promoting the various charisma of the Holy Spirit in Communities, Movements, Associations and other groups within the people of God”. This vision facilitates a team work approach. Each Programme involves the other programmes in its activities wherever is appropriate.

(iii) Family Life Education · Promotion of Christian Families in parishes · Training of Family Life Facilitators · Establishing Family Life Education (FLE) Co-ordinators
(iv) P. M. C. (Pontifical Missionary Childhood Society) · Promotion (Evangelization of children) · Animators (Patrons & Matrons) · Children’s Pastoral oriented activities and Enrolment of New Members
(v) Sunday Schools · Training of Sunday School Teachers · Materials · Promotion
(vi) Catholic Educators · Catholic Educators Association is a very new group in the Diocese as an association. This is meant to bring together. This is meant to bring together all Catholic Educators/Teachers from Nursery level to Tertiary level to promote their Pastoral Involvement in the Parish · Promotion in Parishes · CISRET & REAP – In this line the Programme is concerned with the Training and on-going formation. This is done through seminars, workshops and institutionalized training.
